Intrinzic has partnered with a global financial services client to recruit for a Network Engineer to join a collaborative and high-performing networking team based in Brisbane.

You’ll be part of a team of 10 network engineers who work closely together to support one another and the wider technology function. It’s a busy environment, but they do it with a smile and a strong sense of camaraderie. Communication, collaboration, and being proactive are key values for this team.

About the Role

• Team Culture: Join a highly supportive team that focuses on helping each other and delivering long-term solutions, not just short-term fixes.
• Responsibilities: Provide level 2/3 support, manage and maintain networking hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, SD-WAN), contribute to network transformation projects, and take a proactive approach to solving issues at the source.
• Technical Scope: Work across technologies including Cisco switching (Catalyst, Nexus), Palo Alto firewalls, Meraki SD-WAN/Wi-Fi/Switching, AWS Direct Connect, and F5 BIG-IP/Citrix NetScaler.
• Growth & Learning: Report to a highly experienced manager who supports both hands-on learning and long-term career development. You’ll have access to training, certifications, and the chance to work on a mix of operations and project-based work.
• Impact: Join a business investing heavily in its technology practice, growing 30% year-on-year, and delivering smart, scalable solutions.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years in network operations and support within a large, complex enterprise environment.
• Core Technologies:
  
  • Cisco switching (Nexus, Catalyst) – OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRF, VLAN, QoS
  • Meraki SD-WAN, Wireless, Switching
  • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Cloud Networking – AWS Direct Connect, Megaport
  • Load balancers – F5 BIG-IP, Citrix NetScaler
• Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds, PRTG or similar
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and team-first mindset
• Certifications: CCNA and/or Meraki Solutions Specialist preferred
• Bonus Skills: PCNSA/PCNSE, CCNP, knowledge of VMware networking, Windows DNS/DHCP, or agile environments
