We're partnering with one of Australia's most critical telecommunications infrastructure providers on a major IT Transformation program — and they're looking for a Knowledge Writer to join the delivery team.
About the Client
This organisation sits at the heart of Australia's digital connectivity, operating the infrastructure that keeps millions of homes and businesses online. They're currently undertaking a large-scale platform migration across their Network Assurance function, moving from legacy systems to ServiceNow, and this program is central to the future of how they monitor, manage, and maintain their network.
About the Role
You'll be embedded within the transformation delivery team, working alongside Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Process Engineers, and Network Operations teams. Your job is to take complex technical solution designs and future-state processes and turn them into clear, practical documentation that operational teams can actually use.
What you'll produce:
The audience is Network Engineers and NOC staff — people who need precise, step-by-step guidance to operate in the new environment. This isn't high-level corporate documentation — it's hands-on, practical content that directly supports network operations.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer on large-scale IT Transformation programs
- Strong background documenting ITSM processes — Incident, Problem, Change, Event, and Major Incident Management
- Telecommunications or critical infrastructure industry experience, ideally within Network Operations, NOC, or Network Assurance environments
- Experience documenting ITSM platform workflows and automation fallouts
- Ability to extract information from busy SMEs and translate complex technical content into plain, usable operational guidance
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Bonus Points
- Experience with legacy-to-modern ITSM platform migrations (ServiceNow)
- Familiarity with ITSM and Operations Management modules on the target platform
- ITIL framework knowledge
- Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
The Details
- 12 month contract
- Melbourne based, hybrid (50% in office)
- $750 per day (super inclusive)
