Staff Engineer

• Ruby on Rails SME
• $205k base + super 
• Remote working (AU/NZ based)

Intrinzic are representing an Australian SaaS scale-up who are seeking a Staff Engineer with extensive Ruby on Rails experience, to become the most Senior Engineer in their team.
  
There will be no people management as this is purely an individual contributor role. As a Staff Engineer you will join a growing, collaborative team of Software Engineers, and will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining scalable robust solutions, whilst driving technical excellence, elevating the skills of the entire engineering team.

We are looking for a Staff Engineer who treats coding as a craft, someone who is passionate about building reliable, resilient and highly available systems. You will contribute to the architecture, development and deployment of SaaS products, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security, whilst continuously establishing ways of how to deploy faster and less error prone.

Key experience required:

• 7+ years' Ruby on Rails experience 
• 2+ years' React/Vue experience
• Experience in mentoring or technical leadership capacity
• Previously championed the design, implementation and maintenance of scalable robust solutions
• Experience architecting, developing and deploying SaaS products
• Experience coordinating the delivery of features from roadmap through each stage of the development cycle
• Ability to identify and implement improvements to existing products and processes
