We’re partnering with a global technology business, who are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer.
Working within a collaborative engineering team, you'll contribute to the design, development and testing of embedded software solutions that power complex hardware devices. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle while solving challenging technical problems within a quality-focused engineering environment.

Working within a collaborative engineering team, you'll contribute to the design, development and testing of embedded software solutions that power complex hardware devices. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle while solving challenging technical problems within a quality-focused engineering environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and developing embedded software applications
- Building reliable real-time software capabilities
- Writing high-quality code in C++ and Python
- Debugging, testing and validating software functionality
- Contributing to architecture, design and technical discussions
- Collaborating with software, hardware and product teams
- Supporting CI/CD initiatives and modern engineering practices
- Driving software quality through testing, reviews and continuous improvement
- Commercial experience developing software in C++
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Python development experience
- Embedded systems development experience
- Exposure to real-time or low-level software development
- Experience working within Agile product development environments
- Familiarity with Git-based development workflows
- Automotive, Defence, Medical device, Aerospace or other regulated industry experience
- Test Driven Development (TDD)
- CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins
- Experience developing safety-critical software systems
- Meaningful engineering work on sophisticated products
- Collaborative and highly capable technical team
- Exposure to complex embedded systems and modern development practices
